SAPORITI CELEBRATES 90 YEARS
When Ambrosio started working, he was quite young (he hadn´t even turned 30) but he was already full of dreams and aspirations and the most longed for was creating his own company.

He worked harder and added more people to his team who, in addition to contributing to the company’s growth and development, had a very special feature that we still appreciate in our employees: they were good people.
Today, on the same day our company celebrates its 90th birthday, my father and founder of Saporiti would have turned 90.
He was still a teenager when his father, who had been a construction worker, died and since he was the eldest son, he immediately became his family’s supporter. He had to work really hard, or as he liked to say, he had to work his way up. He worked harder and added more people to his team who, in addition to contributing to the company’s growth and development, had a very special feature that we still appreciate in our employees: they were good people.
Ambrosio and his fellows’ effort during that time undoubtedly set the basis of who we are and how we work today. And although our company, people, society and the world itself has significantly changed since then, our heart and soul preserve that pioneer spirit.
If I could have a conversation with my father nowadays regarding the present situation of the company, I guess he would be critical to some extent…I’m aware that his standards of commitment with his duties and projects are difficult to comply with. Nevertheless, I also enjoy thinking that he would be proud of who we are, how many we are and the way we work today.
I’m proud to say that I share some features with him: I also believe in people, which I consider one of the most important of his values, and I dream about changing the world, just as he did. I’m aware that I can change only the tiny part of the world that I been given, but I strongly believe that dreaming about a better world provides life with a meaning and makes the difference, and so is worth the effort. My father also taught me that working alone is not the way to success, so I feel really lucky to be accompanied by a great group of people who give their best and provide our company with their talent, effort, ideas, knowledge and, most especially, their commitment. My challenge today is to foster the strengths of our people and teams in order to improve them and to work together to achieve our personal goals as well as the goals of our company.
This celebration finds us working, as usual, so I want to wish each of you a happy 90th anniversary and thank you very much for your effort and goodwill. Let´s work together to make this new year memorable.
